Printed or in electronic format, it is requested by an exporter and certified by an accredited body, in order to certify that the exported products are indeed produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country.
The processing of the Certificate of Origin requires the approval of the Directorate of Industry and the valid Customs. Nevertheless, there may be additional validations, in particular those of the structures in charge of the control of cash crops (Coffee and Cocoa Council, Cotton and Cashew Nut Council, Chamber of Commerce and Industry)
