Following a diagnostic analysis of the port operations since its set up back in 1971, undertaken by the Directorate General of the Autonomous Port in 2002, the San Pédro Port mission has been refined as being "to become a modern port, a developing tool for Ivory Coast and a regional integration driving force ".
