- Development and monitoring of public hygiene regulations
- Design, implementation and monitoring of the Government’s policy on medical waste in collaboration with the Ministers of Environment and Sanitation
- Evaluation and monitoring of the food and drug products regulation, in conjunction with the Ministers in charge of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishery Resources
- Proposal and implementation of incentive measures and of encouraging or coercive measures for the population and leaders of local authorities, in the achievement of public hygiene operations.
