  • Gold ;
  • Gem stones ;
  • Works of Art ;
  • Waste materials ;
  • Explosives, weapons, ammunitions and other war materials for the National Military and
  • Security Forces ;
  • Live animals ;
  • Fish, fresh or chilled vegetables and fruits ;
  • Plants & floriculture products ;
  • Cinematograph films (35mm), for public screening, printed and developed ;
  • Newspapers and current periodicals, postage stamps and duty stamps, banknotes, checkbooks,
  • passports ;
  • Personal effects and used domestic objects ;
  • Used vehicles ;
  • Personal gifts ;
  • Postal parcels ;
  • Crude oil ;
  • Commercial samples ;
  • Donations by foreign Governments or International Organisations to the State, Foundations, charity organisations, and to recognized public-interest philanthropic organisations ;
  • Imports for diplomatic and consular Missions, or for international organisations, for their own use ;
  • Goods without any commercial value, imported on a non-recurring basis, for personal use, and which value does not exceed FCFA 3’000’000.

Furthermore, the following additional codes are also exempted:

  • Diplomatic privileges and equivalent privileges (140) ;
  • Privileges derived from military cooperation (149) ;
  • Mining research and operations (308) ;
  • Oil research and operations (309) ;
  • State Convention (311) ;
  • Projects financed by foreign support (420).
